Role Description
The Site Manager will oversee on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, supervising site workers, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing resources, and liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the north east on various sites. The Site Manager will play a key role in maintaining HMH Civils' commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in site management, construction, or civil engineering projects, ideally involving groundworks, roads, sewers, or external works.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills, including the ability to manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate teams, and ensure project milestones are met.
* Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety regulations and procedures within construction environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
* Familiarity with project planning tools and an ability to manage budgets and schedules.
* A valid SMSTS certification, CSCS card, and first aid qualification are required.
* Driving license and access to transport, as travel to different sites around the North East, Yorkshire, and the Humber region may be required.
* Experience working with a civil engineering firm and knowledge of local construction standards and regulations is an advantage.
