Are you a confident communicator with a passion for customer engagement and sales growth? We’re looking for a proactive and personable Internal Sales Specialist to join our clients team and help strengthen their independent customer base. This is a part time role, 22.5 hours per week (Flexible: 3 full days or 5 shorter days)
Role
As an Internal Sales Specialist, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers—particularly smaller, independent accounts—with a clear focus on revenue growth, customer retention, and increasing overall spend.
Your day-to-day will include :
Proactively contacting customers through outbound calls, using pre-defined call lists and meeting daily call targets.
Analysing customer data to understand buying habits, identify trends, and uncover new sales opportunities—reaching out to both lapsed and active customers.
Handling inbound enquiries, understanding customer needs, and converting them into sales.
Taking a consultative approach to sales—listening, advising, and offering tailored solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Keeping customer records accurate and up to date, ensuring all interactions and opportunities are logged.
Working towards and achieving weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets.
Skills & Experience
Ideally you:
Have experience in outbound internal sales and are confident speaking with customers over the phone.
Are comfortable analysing data to identify opportunities and recommend relevant products.
Possess a curious, solution-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Are highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Have strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to follow up and close sales.
Bring a positive, sales-driven attitude and a genuine desire to grow customer accounts.
