Overview
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Developer for a 6-month fixed-term contract to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will focus on the design and implementation of SharePoint site templates, migration of content from existing platforms to SharePoint, and the enhancement of site navigation, linking, and permissions oversight. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Site Design and Development: Create robust SharePoint site templates that are user-friendly and tailored to meet business needs. Ensure that the design is responsive and functional across all platforms.
2. Content Migration: Efficiently migrate content from various existing platforms to SharePoint, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to users. Develop strategies to streamline the migration process.
3. Navigation and Linking: Implement intuitive navigation and linking strategies to enhance user experience and site usability.
4. Permissions Oversight: Manage and oversee site permissions to ensure secure access to information and compliance with internal policies.
5. Integration and Configuration: Ensure clean integration between SharePoint and other platforms, and create and configure necessary sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts.
6. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT and other teams to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver training on new SharePoint features and functionalities. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting post-deployment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proven Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development, including site design, content migration, and permissions management.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, and Microsoft 365 suite. Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
* Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and deliver on tight deadlines.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills to address challenges swiftly and provide innovative solutions.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
