We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your expertise will contribute to creating a delightful dining experience for our residents.
Duties
* Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards.
* Cook a variety of dishes, ensuring flavour, presentation, and portion control are maintained.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages or issues to management.
* Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
* Hours to include: weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, mornings and evenings. Breakfasts, lunches and supper.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment.
* Strong skills with a good understanding of various cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to manage tasks independently.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* A passion for food and creativity in meal presentation is highly desirable, while honing your skills in a vibrant kitchen environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.86 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 14 per week
