Sutherland House School Braithwell is an independent special school for autistic children and young people aged 5-19.
We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and caring Site Manager to join our school community. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students and staff by ensuring our site is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Leading on all aspects of health and safety across the school site
2. Conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulations
3. Managing contractors and overseeing site maintenance and repairs
4. Supporting emergency planning and safeguarding procedures
5. Being a friendly, reassuring presence for staff, pupils, and visitors alike
What We’re Looking For:
6. A strong understanding of health and safety legislation
7. Experience in site or facilities management (school experience is a bonus, but not essential)
8. Excellent communication and organisational skills
9. A hands-on, can-do attitude and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others
10. Someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
