* Location: Tresham College - one at Kettering, one at Corby
* Salary/Benefits: Salary between £24,720 and £29,870 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications; People’s pension; Retail and Leisure Discounts; excellent professional and personal development opportunities; accessing college courses.
* Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 40 weeks per year

About the role
We are currently seeking two Learning Mentors to join our Student Services department at The Bedford College Group.
* Pastoral Support & Mentoring - Provide guidance to allocated students, monitor attendance and punctuality, and deliver early interventions to remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes.
* Student Development & Wellbeing - Support learners' personal, social, and academic growth, manage wellbeing concerns, and liaise with internal services and external agencies as needed.
* Data Monitoring & Reporting - Collect and record attendance data, track progress against targets, maintain accurate records, and produce reports on mentoring activities and student outcomes.
* Collaboration & Communication - Work closely with teaching staff, parents/carers, and stakeholders to ensure students receive appropriate support, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
* College Engagement & Compliance - Participate in open days, invigilation, and campus-wide activities; uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety standards; and engage in ongoing training and development.
About you
* Qualifications & Professional Development - Educated to Level 3 with relevant qualifications, GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C), and evidence of recent professional development in education or support roles.
* Knowledge & Experience - Strong understanding of Post-16 education, safeguarding, and the Prevent agenda; experience supporting young people with SEND and working in school/college environments.
* Skills & Attributes - Excellent communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills; high computer literacy; ability to motivate students and build professional relationships with diverse groups.
* Values & Professional Conduct - Committed to education values, continuous improvement, and promoting equality and diversity; able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
* Flexibility & Commitment - Willing to travel across campuses, adapt working hours, and engage in ongoing CPD; able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and contribute positively to team and college culture.
