The Role:
As a Senior Sales Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth and shaping the commercial success of our events. You’ll build and maintain strategic relationships, identify new business opportunities and represent Broadway Events with professionalism and enthusiasm.
You’re a confident, high-performing sales professional with a strong work ethic and a relentless drive to exceed targets. Resilient, persuasive and commercially minded, you take ownership of your results and consistently deliver against ambitious goals.
This is a high-activity, phone-based role (around 80% of your time), with an expectation of at least 70 minutes of outbound client call time per day, focused on new business generation. When not engaging clients over the phone, you’ll be attending competitor events to develop leads and working onsite at our events.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
* Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly and annual sales targets
* Consistently exceed KPIs, call times and activity levels
* Lead by example and work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve shared goals
* Maintain a professional, positive and enthusiastic approach in all interactions
* Manage client accounts end-to-end: from enquiry and rate negotiation to stand placement, partnership opportunities and issue resolution
* Ensure the quality of exhibitors remains at the highest standard possible
* Proactively canvas, develop and grow your client base and revenue spend
* Convert new business into long-term, repeat customers through strong relationship management
* Drive client retention by achieving rebook targets onsite and delivering year-round service excellence via meetings, video calls, phone and email
* Maintain accurate sales pipelines and forecasting within the CRM system
* Work closely with the Sales Manager to ensure accurate forward planning and forecasting
* Represent Broadway Events at relevant exhibitions and industry events, acting as a confident, credible ambassador for the brand
* Travel nationally to attend and canvass relevant industry events as required
* Build and maintain knowledge of key associations, regulators and suppliers within the sector to enhance credibility and commercial performance
* Support the smooth running onsite at events
* Embrace change and adapt to new responsibilities as the company continues to grow
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 2+ years’ experience in sales (events or media experience preferred)
* Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced, B2B environment
* Strong influencing, negotiation and closing skills at all levels
* Commercially astute with excellent relationship management skills
* Highly proactive, adaptable and resilient under pressure
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational ability
* Confident communicator - comfortable with phone-based and face-to-face sales
* Able to inspire and support team members while driving individual performance
