About Bletchley Park Trust
Bletchley Park Trust is a registered charity, award-winning museum, and vibrant heritage attraction. It is open daily to visitors and reveals the secrets and fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations. The Trust aims to attract, engage, and educate people worldwide about Bletchley Park's crucial role in World War Two.
The Trust has secured funding from the government's Museum Estate and Development (MEND) Fund to undertake external repairs, remove asbestos, reinstall roof access to the historic Mansion, and replace aged boilers with air source heat pumps.
Role Overview
We are recruiting a Site Manager to support the delivery of this project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Reporting to the Head of Site Works, this role involves daily onsite presence, managing contractors, minimizing visitor impact, and protecting historic buildings.
Candidate Profile
* Organized, excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships
* Proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
* Experience as a Site Manager with a SMSTS qualification
* Experience working in listed buildings is essential
* Ability to quickly understand the mechanics of the new heating system
Additional Details
This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract starting immediately, based onsite at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 8:00 am. Part-time applications for 32.5 hours per week will also be considered.
Salary is approximately £50,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), with benefits including a pension scheme, BUPA wellbeing cash plan, and 33 days holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time).
