Our client is a precision engineering company specializing in the manufacture of high-quality, precision-machined metal components they work within the aerospace, defence, automotive, oil & gas, and nuclear sectors Main duties & responsibilities: Establish, maintain and improve all aspects of the Quality Management System in accordance with the relevant standards Ensure records are defined, maintained and disposed of according to the company policy Control of monitoring & measuring equipment (Calibration) Support quality planning within the Design and Development process Minimise the total cost of quality Documented release of product in accordance with customer and company requirements in a timely manner Implement and control internal audit programme and identify areas for improvement Monitor and manage corrective action for all incidents (complaints, returns, defects) Manage any third party/customer audits and resulting corrective action Define and deliver quality training as appropriate throughout the company Maintain, review and action as appropriate quality metrics as defined by the company Define and deliver regular management review to ensure continuous improvement Appropriate monthly and quarterly reporting Ensure the business operates in line with current HSE regulations. Collaborate with the leadership team to produce the annual Carbon Reduction report and update the plan Continue the work towards recognised standards in Health and Safety and Environmental management Lead the continuous improvement activity Oversee all continuous improvement team activities Provide leadership and develop a continuous improvement culture throughout the business Job Requirements Experience working in aerospace, defence, manufacturing Proven experience managing or maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS) to recognised standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or similar).
