Site Manager – Care Home New Build (Contract)

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager with a strong engineering background to join a new build care home project in West Clandon.
This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong Site Manager who is comfortable working alongside a groundworks contractor acting as Principal Contractor during the early stages of the build.
The Role
* Managing day-to-day site operations on a care home new build
* Working closely with the groundworks team (PC on site for approx. 20 weeks)
* Overseeing temporary works at project start
* Ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
* Using Total Station for setting out and checking works
* Interpreting and working from CAD drawings
* Maintaining site documentation, health & safety records, and progress reports
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build projects
* Engineering background (essential)
* Valid SMSTS
* Valid First Aid at Work
* Competent using Total Station & CAD
* Strong knowledge of site health & safety and build sequencing
Desirable Experience
* Care home, residential, or similar commercial new build projects
* Experience working alongside or under a groundworks Principal Contractor
* Temporary works exposure
