Job Title: School HR Officer – Part-Time

Protocol Education is working with a well-regarded school in NW3 to recruit an experienced School HR Officer on a part-time basis. You will work three days per week, with flexibility around which days to suit your schedule.
This is a hands-on role for someone confident in employee relations, HR compliance, and working with senior leaders to ensure smooth HR operations across the school.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Managing employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and sickness absence
2. Supporting recruitment activity and onboarding new staff
3. Ensuring HR policies are followed and kept up to date
4. Overseeing visa sponsorship and right-to-work compliance
5. Managing and supporting the appraisal cycle
6. Assisting with wider HR duties during quieter periods
7. Acting as a trusted point of contact for staff and leadership
You’ll need:
8. Experience above HR Administrator or Assistant level, ideally in a school or similar setting
9. Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR best practice
10. Confidence working with senior leaders and staff
11. A calm, professional, and practical approach
12. Excellent organisational and communication skills
