Site Manager – Stranraer (Accommodation Allowance Provided)
Location: Stranraer, Scotland
Duration: September 2026
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of an exciting construction project in Stranraer.
The project involves the construction of a new community hub featuring:
* Changing and shower facilities
* Classrooms and meeting rooms
* Café and kitchen facilities
* Office accommodation
* Open public spaces
The development is scheduled for completion in September 2026, offering a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors
* Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
* Monitor project progress and report to senior management
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
* Maintain site records and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
* Drive productivity while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
* Valid SMSTS
* Valid First Aid at Work certificate
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate site activities effectively
* Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation
* Full UK driving licence preferred
