The Role:
The Capital & General Ledger Assistant is responsible for assisting the Capital Accountant in the daily running of the Capital & General Ledger team. The role involves commissioning all Operations capital projects and completing month end Capital & General Ledger processes under IFRS. The number of Capital projects is greatly increasing with £2bn investment planned in PC21 and this will lead to an increase in projects needed to be commissioned on Oracle and on the Fixed Asset Register.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday per week
Requirements:
Essential Criteria
1. A 3rd level qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent in a Business/Finance/Accounting related qualification
AND
At leave One years' experience of working in a Business/Finance/Accounting environment
OR
Have Four years' of working in a Business/Finance/Accounting environment
2. Knowledge and understanding of monthly financial reporting processes
3. Working knowledge of MS package including Excel, Word and Access
4. Ability to achieve a high level of work accuracy within tight timescales
Desirable Criteria
5. Experience of working within a utility company with a working knowledge of NI Water assets and networks
