About the Role
An exciting opportunity to support the development of the Northern branch of the employment team and to contribute to the continued growth of the UK Employment group. You will be advising commercial clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment related queries. Work is hugely varied, and covers the full remit of employment law related matters. You will be taking the lead in assisting and advising commercial clients in relation to:
* investigations and complex employment claims;
* experience of advising clients in the financial services sector;
* day-to-day employment queries, such as disciplinary and grievance matters, maternity/family leave issues and working time questions;
* corporate, commercial and real estate transactions, business transfers and outsourcings;
* employment tribunal, civil court and appeal litigation;
* collective matters such as restructuring, redundancies, integration and TUPE;
* senior executive issues, including negotiating appointments and exits, as well as trade union matters.
The team plays a central role in the wider firm, and regularly advises clients on multi-jurisdictional projects.
You will maintain a position with a high level of responsibility so the role will also involve leading on BD initiatives, and supporting more junior lawyers.
About You
You will be an experienced employment lawyer looking to be part of a successful, growing, dynamic and highly collaborative team. Your experience should include some transactional work. You will be well-organised, proactive, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
