About the Role: The Travel Manager is responsible for overseeing a small team across the business to ensure that all aspects of corporate travel deliver cost-effective, secure, and efficient arrangements for 2Excel employees. Key duties involve formulating strict travel policies, negotiating agreements with vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with both organisational and regulatory standards. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to streamline travel logistics and sustain business operations. Exceptional skills in analysis, communication, and problem-solving are fundamental requirements. The manager is expected to track industry trends and implement enhancements that improve employee satisfaction and operational effectiveness. This position is integral to supporting strategic mobility and upholding high service standards throughout the organisation. The role’s key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Develop and maintain detailed travel policies and procedures. Negotiate and administer contracts with travel vendors and service providers. Oversee travel budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility and efficiency. Guarantee adherence to company policies as well as regulatory obligations. Collaborate with internal departments and external contacts to optimise travel logistics. Analyse travel trends and initiate improvements for employee benefits. Support business continuity with robust travel management practices. Required Experience: Substantial experience in corporate travel management or related sectors. Proven proficiency in creating and enforcing travel policies. Demonstrated competence in vendor contract negotiation and administration. Expertise in budget oversight and achieving cost-effectiveness. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance frameworks. Outstanding analytical, communication, and problem-resolution capabilities. Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments and external providers. Experience tracking travel trends and implementing progressive changes. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Travel Management, or similar discipline. Accreditation in travel management (e.g., Certified Travel Associate, Global Travel Professional). Advanced proficiency in travel management systems and digital tools. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Capability to work efficiently under pressure and manage emergencies. Key Performance Indicators Demonstrating significant savings in the Company Travel budget. Build and maintain credibility with Directors and staff in the management of Company travel. Successful audit outcomes.
