Overview
A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to join a top-tier main contractor on a brand-new new-build school scheme starting in early 2026. This landmark project will run into 2027, offering security, progression, and the chance to play a key role on a flagship development in South West London.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations on a ground-up new-build education facility. You will lead site teams, ensure safety and quality standards are maintained, and drive progress to meet programme milestones.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily site activities and coordinate subcontractors
* Ensure high levels of health & safety compliance across the site
* Monitor progress, quality control, and site documentation
* Assist with short-term programming and planning
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Maintain strong communication with the Project Manager and wider team
* Support client and stakeholder interface when required
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on new-build projects (£5m+)
* Strong main contracting background
* Experience within education or public-sector builds is beneficial
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black / Gold), and First Aid essential
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Availability to start January 2026 (interviews happening now)
