We are looking for a Junior Part-Time ServiceNow Developer to contribute to the ongoing development, configuration, and maintenance of our enterprise ServiceNow platform. If you have 1-3 years of hands-on experience developing within the platform and are seeking a flexible, part-time role, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills across various modules and complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Scripting:
1. Write, test, and deploy client-side scripts (Client Scripts, UI Policies) and server-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions) using JavaScript/Glide.
2. Build and maintain Service Catalog items, including complex variable configurations and advanced workflows.
3. Utilise low-code tools like Flow Designer to automate and streamline business processes.
Configuration & Customisation:
4. Design and enhance user interfaces, including maintaining and developing custom widgets for the Service Portal using HTML, CSS, and Angular.
Maintenance & Quality Assurance:
5. Manage Update Sets for migrating configurations and code between development, test, and production environments.
6. Participate in testing activities, including developing and executing test plans for new features and platform upgrades.
7. Perform routine platform administration tasks, including user management, data imports, and security rule (ACL) configuration.
Collaboration:
8. Work closely with the ServiceNow Product Owner and Engineering lead to refine requirements and propose technical solutions that align with best practices.
Requirements:
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development
ServiceNow Core Skills: Proven ability to configure and customize ServiceNow using out-of-the-box functionality and platform scripting.
Technical Proficiency: Solid foundational knowledge of:
9. JavaScript/Glide scripting.
10. HTML, CSS, and basic AngularJS (or similar framework) exposure for Service Portal development.
11. Understanding of relational databases and data modeling within ServiceNow.
Certifications (Highly Preferred): Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Process Knowledge: Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ITIL concepts.
