Head Cook
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Location: CoulsdonWe're looking for an experienced and motivated Head Cook to lead a kitchen team at a well-loved café in Epsom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in creating high-quality food, and enjoys the day-to-day rhythm of a busy kitchen.
About the Role:
As Head Cook, you'll take full ownership of kitchen operations - from crafting delicious, seasonal menus to leading a small, skilled team. You'll ensure food is consistently fresh, well-presented, and served to the highest standard. You'll also play a key role in maintaining a positive kitchen culture, where organisation and efficiency go hand-in-hand with creativity and passion.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading the kitchen day-to-day and ensuring service runs smoothly.
Developing fresh, seasonal, and crowd-pleasing menus.
Managing ordering, stock control, and kitchen costs efficiently.
Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
Training and supporting a small kitchen team.
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver a great customer experience.What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a senior kitchen role - Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar.
Comfortable managing kitchen staff and operations.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Passion for creating fresh, wholesome food that's made with care.
A hands-on leader with a calm and professional approach.
Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.You'll be joining a supportive and friendly team in a café that values quality, consistency, and creativity.
