Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Hod Carrier/Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the transportation and positioning of materials, supporting skilled tradespeople, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience within the construction industry and develop their skills on-site.
Duties
* Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of building materials and equipment around the site
* Support skilled tradespeople by handing tools, materials, and assisting with tasks as directed
* loading out and working with bricklayers
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by clearing debris and ensuring pathways are free from hazards
* Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
* Assist with general labouring duties including digging, lifting, and moving materials as required
Requirements
* Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour over extended periods
* Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team
* Prior experience in construction or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
* Good organisational skills with attention to safety procedures
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
