Overview
Fancy joining our fun team of patty smashers?
At Patty Freaks, we pride ourselves on serving the best dirty burgers that keep people coming back for more.
We're looking for a couple of experienced and enthusiastic short order cooks to jump on board at our newly expanded Lichfield site, to help us maintain & build on our high food quality and safety standards as we continue to grow.
While we usually say, "experience isn't necessary but it's always a bonus", we're specifically looking for people with a strong background in cooking or food production.
You don't have to have been a Chef de Partie at somewhere swish, or a team leader at a Beefeater, but we are looking for people who have experience working to a high standard in high volume & high stress kitchens.
Our busiest times are Fridays & Saturdays so you would be expected to work most of those, but we're all a fun bunch, so if you're up for the banter, you'll settle in just fine :D
Our food is simple & to the point, but we work hard to elevate it beyond just a regular diner burger -- and we're looking for people who are up for that challenge.
If that's you, hi
* We have 1 part-time (weekend 10-20hrs) and 1 full-time (40-48hrs) role available.
* We're open 7 days a week, and while we understand people have responsibilities, we are looking for FLEXIBILITY.
* We serve meals per week, and shifts can vary from having 1 chef on, up to 5.
* We're looking for TEAM PLAYERS who can also work alone and can be trusted to maintain a clean working environment.
* We make our own sauces, salads, slaws and other meaty brews ;) -- so you should be comfortable following recipes and making items to our brand specification (recipes & training are delivered in person, and provided in writing).
* We serve guests in-house, and via delivery orders through Uber Eats, Deliveroo & from our own website. Our kitchen team is responsible for checking orders are correct before they're sent out for delivery.
* Our kitchen is semi-open, so successful candidates will be comfortable cooking in view of their adoring public, and (mostly) being on their best behaviour.
* We keep our kitchen clean, and everyone in our team is responsible for ensuring our Due Diligence is filled in correctly, prep is complete, and that the kitchen is set-up & prep lists are ready for the next day's shift.
It sounds like a lot.
It can be really busy.
But when we have the right people working, it just works.
If you think you're up for it, send us your application
Due to the number of applications we usually get, we sadly can't reply to everyone individually. We'll contact successful first-stage applicants within 2 weeks to arrange an interview or trial (depending on experience), and we'll aim to get the successful applicants working ASAP.
Please take note of the pre-screening questions in the next part of the application. If the questions aren't answered, your application will not be read.
