Ashton Recruitment requires a Project Support Officer for our client, Belfast City Council.
Position: Project Support Officer
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary
Pay Rate: £18.26 per hour
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
The postholder will report to the Programme Coordinator and be responsible for providing effective support to facilitate the delivery of the Enterprise Support Service (ESS).
Responsibilities include:
1. Support the team to deliver the Enterprise Support Service (ESS) in line with funder requirements and business needs.
2. Assist the programme team with stakeholder engagement activities involving councils, government departments, agencies, and educational institutions.
3. Support governance and management structures such as the Programme Coordination Group and the Programme Oversight Group.
4. Help develop, coordinate, and deliver allocated projects, managing workload to meet deadlines.
5. Conduct research on economic issues to support service development and governance work.
6. Gather information to support council committees and Working Groups as directed.
7. Manage administrative duties and governance arrangements, updating relevant systems.
8. Provide secretariat support for meetings and forums.
9. Develop networks for effective communication among partners and stakeholders.
10. Attend regional meetings on behalf of the Programme Coordinator and report on discussions and actions.
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must, as of the application deadline, have:
* A third-level qualification in Business Studies, Business Management, Public Administration, or an equivalent qualification, and demonstrate at least one year of relevant experience in each of the following areas:
* Or, demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience in each of the following areas:
1. Coordination, management, and implementation of strategic projects ensuring effective delivery and compliance.
2. Supporting stakeholder engagement activities with internal and external partners.
3. Undertaking performance management and reporting on strategic projects and programmes.
