Position
Senior Site Manager required on a permanent basis in Hereford for a leading main contractor.
About the role
The business undertakes projects in various sectors, specialising in Government sector jobs including Leisure, Hospitals, and Education.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
* Contributing to the value engineering and build-ability of the project.
* Agreeing with planners and other production personnel on programme and methods of construction.
* Marshalling resources for overall control and execution of works, including selection of sub‑contractors.
* Ensuring that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, and overhead targets are established, monitored, and controlled.
* Managing multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Cost control.
* Establishing and maintaining commercial and financial control systems, procedures, and standards that meet contractual requirements.
Experience & Qualifications
* Experience working within the construction industry, specifically on design and build projects.
* A proven track record of delivering projects as a Senior Site Manager up to £5m‑£20m in value.
* Experience working for a main contractor as a Senior Site Manager.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Hold current CSCS, SMSTS, and first aid certification.
* Present a clean and tidy site and have a good understanding of the contractor's requirements to achieve a high score.
