Actual salary range for TTO + 2 weeks is £34,274 - £38,223 per annum.</p><p><b>Contract:</b> Permanent - Full Time – TTO + 2 weeks<br/><b>Start Date:</b> September 2026</p><h3>About this Role</h3><p>As Catering Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the college catering service, managing a dedicated team and ensuring the delivery of fresh, high-quality meals and hospitality services. You will play a key role in menu development, budget management, stock control and continuous service improvement, helping to create a positive dining experience for our college community.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Leading and managing the catering team, including recruitment, training and performance management.</li><li>Planning, preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals using fresh ingredients.</li><li>Developing varied and innovative menus that appeal to students and staff.</li><li>Managing food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships to ensure value for money.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen regulations.</li><li>Organising staff rotas and production schedules to ensure an efficient service.</li><li>Supporting hospitality and corporate events, including occasional evening and weekend functions.</li><li>Delivering excellent customer service and responding positively to feedback.</li><li>Contributing to the colleges commitment to providing an outstanding experience for all students.</li></ul><h3>What Were Looking For</h3><ul><li>Has hospitality and catering qualifications, including a Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (or equivalent).</li><li>Has significant experience in a chef management or catering management role.</li><li>Has experience planning menus, managing budgets and controlling food costs.</li><li>Can lead, motivate and develop a catering team to achieve high standards.</li><li>Has excellent knowledge of food hygiene, nutrition, special dietary requirements and allergen management.</li><li>Demonstrates strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.</li></ul><h3>We Offer</h3><ul><li>A high-achieving and respectful student cohort</li><li>Excellent CPD opportunities, including subject-specific training and leadership pathways</li><li>A supportive leadership team and a collegiate working environment</li><li>The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people</li></ul><p>Altus EDUCATION Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
