Head of People & Culture (Growing Role)
London | £35,000 + bonus + salary progression (DOE) | Premium coffee, people & culture
At Fantail, we believe that unforgettable guest experiences start with teams who feel supported, valued, and inspired. We're a growing group of London cafés, and we're looking for our first Head of People & Culture to help us shape the next stage of our journey.
This is a rare opportunity for someone with an operations background (Multi-Site Manager, Café Manager) in premium hospitality or someone who's loves building and developing teams — to step into a career-defining role in People & Culture.
You'll work closely with our founders, building our people function, embedding our culture, and helping our business grow. And as Fantail expands, so will your career — with clear salary reviews and progression built in.
What you'll do
* Lead people & culture across all sites: hiring, onboarding, training, and growth.
* Create initiatives that boost engagement, wellbeing, and career development.
* Build simple and effective people processes that scale as we grow.
* Champion Fantail's values and ensure every team member feels part of our journey.
* Partner with the founders to shape the organisation as we expand.
What we're looking for
* Experience in Cafe Personnel Management (premium hospitality/coffee a big plus) or experience growing teams and leadership.
* A passion for people, culture, and creating a great place to work.
* Someone ambitious, ready to pivot into People & Culture leadership.
* Hands-on, adaptable, and excited to build something new.
Why join Fantail?
* £35k base + bonus + raises as we grow (DOE).
* Direct impact and influence — working closely with the founders.
* A chance to move from operations into a People & Culture career.
* Coffee, community, and culture at the core of everything we do.
