What you'll be doing?
Within the Construction environment, you'll be involved in buying materials, managing large projects, ensuring health and safety, and providing customer service. We work on approximately 400 developments across the UK, ranging from new builds on brownfield sites to adapting existing structures like old factories or disused hospitals.
We seek individuals who can bring innovative ideas and imagination, coupled with the ability to manage people, budgets, and costs. Our construction teams are highly professional, with Site Managers winning more NHBC Pride in the Job Awards than any other housebuilder for thirteen consecutive years.
Reporting to the Site Manager, your responsibilities include:
* Carrying out all site works as instructed and adhering to BDW Standards and procedures
* Inspecting all on-site signage and ensuring they are clean and well-maintained
* Taking personal responsibility for health and safety, reporting breaches promptly
* Ensuring protection of fixed materials is carried out by subcontractors and maintained until completion
* Maintaining site compound and welfare facilities
* Keeping construction plots tidy and free of surplus materials
* Daily site walks to monitor progress and safety compliance
* Segregating and recycling waste according to BDW guidelines
* Monitoring show home gardens and open spaces for cleanliness
What you'll need?
To succeed, you should be:
* An enthusiastic self-starter capable of working independently
* Experienced in large-volume domestic housebuilding sites
* Knowledgeable about Health and Safety practices
* Possessing a current CSCS or equivalent scheme card
