Senior Site Manager
BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an experienced Senior Site Manager, to join the Northern construction business.
As a Senior Site Manager you will be managing, controlling and supporting the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget and covering projects in Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
* Management of complex construction process including knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations
* Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced and monitored to verify that the works are produced in accordance with the specification requirements
* Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures including the Construction Phase Management Plan
* Able to work to programme and associated deadlines
* Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation
* Ensuring BAM construction environmental procedures are implemented on site
* Keep site diaries including records of subcontractor attendance and progress
* Manage direct and sub-contractor packages and the keeping of associated records
* Input on buildability issues as required

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in delivering high quality projects
* Experience working on various types of construction projects. School construction experience would be beneficial although not essential
* Broad construction based technical experience
* A relevant Health & Safety qualification and be competent to carry out site management tasks, ideally SMSTS
* Confident in the use of IT packages and systems
* Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
* Good communication skills
* HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent or a trade's background
* Full driving licence
