Make a Difference: SEN Driving Learning Mentor
Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a full UK driving licence? Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact?
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join one of our Redruth schools within Transforming Futures Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping young people with SEN gain skills and confidence in and outside the classroom.
About the Role:
Provide tailored support to learners with SEN, both in the classroom and during practical driving lessons.
Develop positive and trusting relationships with learners, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with driving instructors, parents/carers and other professionals to create personalised learning plans.
Contribute to the assessment of learners' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of learner progress.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to individual needs and learning styles.
You will be:
Patient, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting young people with SEN.
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to build rapport and trust with learners quickly.
Flexible and adaptable, able to think on your feet and problem-solve.
A full UK driving licence holder with a clean driving record.
