PPTO Planning Officers Department for Infrastructure (DFI) REF: IRC321609 Salary: Salary will be within the range £61,673 - £64,469 within which pay progression will be performance related. Number of Vacancies 4 (one is based in Londonderry/ Derry) Location - The majority of the vacancies are in our main office in James House, Cromac Avenue, Belfast BT7 2JB. However, one current Casework team vacancy is located in Woodburn Depot, 1 Cresent Road, Londonderry, BT47 2NQ, but the postholder will also be required to work from James House, Cromac Avenue Belfast, BT7 2JB which they would be expected to attend at least once a week. However, as this competition may be used to fill any future vacancies that arise throughout Northern Ireland successful candidates must also be prepared to work and travel throughout Northern Ireland ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Applicants by the closing date for the application must: 1. Have a degree or post graduate qualification in town and country planning, or in a planning related discipline (e.g. Marine Spatial Planning, Environmental Management, Urban Design, Transport Planning etc) AND 2. Be either a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or Corporate Member of the Irish Planning Institute (IPI) or equivalent Town Planning professional body.* AND 3. Have 5 years professional experience in a Planning related discipline. AND 4. A minimum of 3 years experience of effective leadership in an area of strategic significance to your organisation in the planning or environment discipline; demonstrating your ability to set the strategic direction in your function, effectively prioritise and manage resources, improve the quality of the service and develop a high performing team or function to deliver key business objectives in a complex and changing environment. AND 5. A minimum of 3 years experience of developing and maintaining positive, collaborative partnerships and demonstrable experience of effective stakeholder engagement and management with a diverse range of senior internal and/ or external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of organisational objectives.
