A growing construction business on the outskirts of Ipswich.
Your new role
As the temporary HR Administrator, you will be supporting the HR team with recruitment and onboarding for a period of circa 4 months. This will include but is not limited to:
1. Conduct DBS checks (Disclosure and Barring Service checks) for new hires.
2. Perform thorough reference checks to verify employment history and qualifications.
3. Coordinate and send out onboarding emails to new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation.
4. Manage the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) to relevant offices or departments.
5. Regularly update the HR system with accurate training records, ensuringpliance and tracking employee development.
6. Assist in issuing and administering employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
7. Handle the processing of employee leavers, including exit interviews and necessary paperwork.
8. Collaborate with the HR team to generate monthly reports, analysing key metrics and trends.
9. Draft and customise letter templates, such as probationpletion letters or promotion announcements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be immediately available to start asap.
Previous administration experience is key with a strong understanding of how HR functions work.
Knowledge of HR systems (PeopleHR) is desirable, but it is imperative that you have strong MS Office skills.
You will be a multitasker, with good attention to detail, and able to maintain confidentiality.
