Site Operative – Jet Washing & Site Finishing
Location: Northampton
Working Times: 6:00am – 4:00pm | Monday to Friday
Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd has specialised in Utility Reinstatement since 2020, delivering high-quality services across the East Anglia and East Midlands regions. We work in partnership with major clients including Cadent Gas, SGN, Anglian Water, Clancy Docwra and Kier Group.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Site Operative to support our reinstatement division by ensuring completed works are left clean, safe, and ready to be reopened to the public and handed back to the Highways Authority.
About the Role
This is a key role focused on final presentation and handover standards. Your main responsibility will be jet washing and finishing completed engineering and reinstatement works to ensure they meet company and highway requirements before reopening.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of site etiquette, cleanliness, and professionalism across all contracts.
A company vehicle will be provided for travelling between sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Jet washing completed reinstatement areas to a high standard
* Ensuring sites are clean, tidy, and safe prior to reopening to the public
* Removing debris and keeping footpaths and carriageways clear
* Supporting final inspections before handover to Highways
* Upholding strong site etiquette and professional presentation
* Travelling to multiple sites as required (company vehicle provided)
* Working outdoors in all weather conditions
* Overtime available when required
A Versatile & Development-Focused Role
This is a varied position. On certain days you may be required to:
* Cover team members during holidays
* Support reinstatement teams during busy periods
* Assist across multiple operational areas when workload increases
You will gain experience and develop multiple skill sets across roles such as:
* Grab Driver Mate
* Tarmac Operative
* Groundwork Operative

What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in construction or groundwork preferred
* Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality finishes
* Flexible and adaptable approach
* Reliable, self-motivated and team-oriented
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
Requirements:
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
* Strong work ethic and punctuality
