Community and Enterprise Resources seek to recruit a Cook-in-Charge to ensure the efficient operation and management of a quality catering service within a premise. The role involves supervising a team of Facilities Assistants (catering).
Your responsibilities will include the allocation of duties, work rotas, basic routine training, and maximizing attendance. You will also carry out clerical and financial duties related to catering, including preparing meals, ordering goods, conducting quality audits, and ensuring compliance with Environmental Health standards and food safety systems.
Effective communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and demonstrate previous experience in providing customer-oriented service.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supervision of a team of Facility Assistants (Catering), including training, recruitment, selection, attendance management, and team briefings.
2. Ensuring the provision of quality service and advising management on stock or quality control issues.
3. Managing financial transactions, including cash counting and balancing.
4. Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of menu items.
5. Managing function work and transferring food items for service.
6. Handling practical tasks related to food storage, preparation, cooking, service, and cleaning of food production areas and equipment.
