Hays are partnering with a long-standing client to support them in finding a HR Administrator for their team in Wakefield. This is a brilliant opportunity which has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
As this role is within an educational setting, you will require an enhanced DBS check. Working hours are 8am-4pm Monday-Thursday and Friday Term Time Only + 10 days.
Your new role
Working alongside the HR Manager and HR Officer, you will provide proactive, first point of contact HR queries across the education trust. Your role will be varied and require strong prioritisation andmunication skills. Duties will include:
Recruitment administration – adverts, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, issuing contractsHR Administration – updating sickness and absence trackers, supporting return to work documentation
Payroll – data entry into the payroll system around overtime, leave of absence etc
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience of working in a fast-paced HR administration role – if this was in an educational setting, that would be beneficial but not essential.
Strongmunication skills – both written and verbal
Able to manage and prioritise your own workload, adapting to changing circumstances
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
What you'll get in return
£14-£15 an hour
37 hours a week
Potential for temp to perm
Term time only working + 10 days
Immediate start (pending DBS and safer recruitment)
