Site Manager – Construction & Civils Projects (Barrow‑in‑Furness)
Contract: Full‑Time (Temporary / Fixed‑Term)
Day Rate: £300–£360 per day
Location: Barrow‑in‑Furness, Cumbria
Security: Enhanced DBS + full site clearance required
Our client are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a range of construction and civils projects across Barrow‑in‑Furness. You’ll play a key role in delivering refurbishment, fit‑out, new build, retail, education, health, civils, and specialist sector projects valued between £10k and £6m.

The Role
* Lead on‑site operations for multiple small projects or one larger scheme.
* Promote a Right First Time delivery culture and ensure consistent high‑quality results.
* Produce and monitor tracking tools to support programme management and change control.
* Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers to meet key milestones.
* Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and statutory regulations.
* Work closely with commercial teams to capture variations and support invoicing processes.
* Attend client meetings and provide accurate progress updates to senior management.
* Maintain accurate documentation, quality records and site reporting.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience leading construction or civils projects ranging
* NVQ / HNC / Degree in Construction or equivalent, or Site Management experience.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with senior teams.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
