Job Title: Site Manager – Office Refurbishment & Fit-Out
Location: St Albans
Salary: £260/280 Day Rate
Contract Type: Freelance – 20 Weeks
Start Date: Mid June
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Manager to lead and deliver high-quality office refurbishment and fit-out projects in St Albans. Working on fast-paced commercial sites, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage site activities from inception to completion, including subcontractors and trades.
* Ensure health & safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
* Coordinate with clients, project managers, and suppliers to maintain smooth workflow.
* Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
* Lead on-site meetings and resolve issues as they arise.
* Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects (CAT A & CAT B preferred).
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification (mandatory).
* Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
* IT literacy (email, reporting tools, etc.)
