BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager, to join the Northern construction business.
Responsibilities
As a Site Manager you will be managing, controlling, and supporting the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget for a project in Rotherham.
* Management of complex Construction process including knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations.
* Ensure that appropriate quality records are produced and monitored to verify that the works comply with specification requirements.
* Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures, including the Construction Phase Management Plan.
* Work to programme and associated deadlines.
* Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
* Implement BAM construction environmental procedures on site.
* Keep site diaries including records of subcontractor attendance and progress.
* Manage direct and sub‑contractor packages and maintain associated records.
* Input on buildability issues as required.

Qualifications
* Experience delivering high‑quality projects.
* Broad construction‑based technical experience.
* Experience working on various types of Construction projects; school construction experience would be beneficial, although not essential.
* A relevant Health & Safety qualification and competence to carry out site management tasks, ideally SMSTS.
* Confidence in the use of IT packages and systems.
* Self‑motivation and ability to work autonomously.
* HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent, or a trade’s background.
* Full driving licence.
