JOB TITLE: Power Platform Developer
SALARY: £47,790 to £58,400pa plus an extensive benefits package.
LOCATION: Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester or Chester.
HOURS: 35 hours, full time. Our team's core hours are 9 am to 5 pm - Monday to Friday. Occasionally, there may be a need to work earlier or later during different stages of a project, particularly during testing or deployment phases. Additionally, on rare occasions, some weekend testing may be required when systems are being upgraded.
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of the above the listed hubs.
About the team
Join our dynamic Consumer Lending Automation Team, where we build unattended robotic processes for Consumer Lending COO and develop Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, AI, Chatbots, and much more! We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Power Platform Developer to join our multifaceted team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and Power BI. This role requires the ability to learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that address business needs.
The Power Platform Developer role within the Consumer Lending Automation Team, part of Consumer Lending COO involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and Power BI. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies. Key responsibilities include creating custom applications, workflows, automation processes, and insightful reports, as well as developing chatbots and integrating AI into solutions.
Key responsibilities:
1. Crafting and developing custom applications, workflows, and automation processes using Power Apps and Power Automate.
2. Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to collect requirements and translate them into functional solutions within Power Platform.
3. Build visually engaging and insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide valuable insights to partners.
4. Develop autonomous Agents using Copilot Studio.
5. Integrate Artificial Intelligence into solutions using AI Builder to enhance digitisation.
6. Fix and resolve technical issues within the relevant applications.
7. Stay updated with the latest features and capabilities of Power Platform and find opportunities to demonstrate them for process improvement.
8. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and share expertise to ensure high-quality tasks.
9. Continuously learn and explore coding languages (such as DAX, Html, Microsoft Power Fx, etc…) that can improve your understanding of the Power Platform environment.
Essential skills:
10. In depth experience using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, AI Builder)
11. An understanding of automation and what can be achieved with the use of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and AI Builder.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Experience of process re design - can create clear and concise Process Maps and User Guides
14. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
15. Self-motivated and proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and tools.
Desirable skills (but not crucial):
16. Any qualification in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
17. Basic understanding of coding languages (JavaScript, VBA, SQL, C#, or Python) preferred.
18. Experience or knowledge of UI design standards and using tools such as Figma
