Site Manager – Defence Construction Project
North Devon
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a new build project within the defence sector in the North Devon area.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering works for the MoD.
The project consists of a new build facility incorporating RC and steel frame, with associated groundworks. There is also an opportunity to become involved in the pre-construction phase ahead of site start.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
This is not considered a highly complex build, but candidates must have solid general building knowledge and experience managing construction projects from inception through to completion.
Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Site Manager on new build construction projects
2. Strong understanding of general building practices and sequencing
3. SMSTS
4. CSCS Card
5. Asbestos Awareness (preferred)
6. MoD pass (desirable but not essential)
Due to the nature of the project, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and security clearance. Assistance with this process will be provided.
Package & Flexibility
The client can offer either permanent or Fixed-Term Contract options, alongside long-term progression opportunities within the business.
