Overview
Permanent, Part-time Site Manager role at Ashton Park School. 29.5 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday, year-round. Salary: NJC24-26 £28,234.00 - £29,723.00 (Actual) or £35,413 - £37,280 (Full-time equivalent). Start date: 6 January 2026. Interview date: 3 November 2025. Ashton Park School is located on the Ashton Court Estate in Bristol and currently graded 'Good' by Ofsted. This role is the lead advisor on premises safety and development, driving a commitment to excellence and sustainability.
The role involves managing the operational site and premises staff to maintain a safe, secure, compliant, and well-maintained environment for 1,200+ students.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Site Management: Oversee all aspects of buildings and facilities, including site development, contracts, asset management, and sustainability initiatives and carbon reduction.
* Team Leadership: Provide direction, support, and performance management for the site premises team.
* Compliance and Safety Leadership: Lead Health & Safety efforts, ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., CDM and COSHH), and plan, monitor, and maintain statutory compliance checks and records.
* Maintenance Programme Management: Develop and implement a robust, proactive and reactive maintenance and janitorial programme.
* Security: Act as a main key holder and lead on premises security, including locking/unlocking, alarm systems, and out-of-hours responses.

Essential (or Desirable) Qualifications
* Proven, current knowledge of Health and Safety issues, including COSHH and relevant legislation.
* Mathematics and English at GCSE grade A to C (4+) or equivalent.
* Demonstrable buildings and maintenance skills.
* A reliable, flexible, meticulous nature with the ability to lead a team and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* A Clean Driving Licence is desirable.
* Experience of managing a team and/or a background in the building trade with supervisory responsibilities is highly desirable.
