We are looking for an HR Administrator to join us on either a permanent or fixed-term basis. Reporting to the Head of HR Shared Services, you will provide professional, timely, proactive, and accurate HR administration to support the work of the HR Service Centre. You will act as a first point of contact for employee queries, working with the wider team to proactively provide resolutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Acting as the first point of contact for all queries coming into the HR Service Centre, ensuring all enquiries are responded to in line with agreed SLAs.
2. Completing tasks assigned in the HR Inbox, responding in line with SLAs, and allocating to other team members as required.
3. Providing advice on policies and procedures to employees and managers.
4. Supporting with writing variation, leaver, and other HR letters as needed.
5. Supporting the wider HR team with administration such as Learning and Development.
6. Working with Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, including running weekly inductions.
7. Liaising with Background Check providers to administer checks for candidates and current employees.
8. Coordinating policies with policy owners to ensure renewal within the required time frame.
9. Assisting with payroll and benefits, including logging and updating HRIS for all employees, processing changes in Workday, and ensuring platforms are updated.
10. Supporting the development of end-to-end employment lifecycle processes and suggesting efficiencies, ensuring GDPR compliance.
11. Working proactively to exceed team and organizational OKRs.
12. Undertaking regular audits in line with employment lifecycle processes.
13. Supporting HRIS improvements to enhance employee experience.
14. Preparing reports from HRIS as required.
15. Contributing ideas and identifying opportunities and blockers to deliver HR excellence.
Skills and experience required:
* Proven experience as an HR Administrator, preferably in a HR Service Centre environment.
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and its implications.
* Basic understanding of payroll and pension legislation.
* Proficiency with multiple technology platforms, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Confident communicator at all levels, with a clear, engaging, and collaborative style.
* Flexible to meet deadlines.
* Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude.
* Ability to work closely with colleagues to foster a high-performing team culture.
* Resilience and ability to prioritize under pressure.
* Confident and empathetic when dealing with diverse individuals.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and across teams.
* Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information, in line with GDPR.
Desirable:
* Level 3 CIPD qualification.
* Experience with Workday.
