Job Summary
In this role you will assist the Director of Asset Management in delivering an effective and efficient asset management service.
You will be responsible for leading a diverse team of over 200 in-house technical staff, external consultants and contractors in delivering the NIHE investment programme, which is circa £150-200 million per annum. This includes capital/revenue, planned and cyclical works which is designed to ensure the long-term sustainability of NIHE assets.
This is a challenging role, but offers the unique chance to shape the NIHE housing assets working collaboratively across the business and with residents to deliver excellent services to residents and develop a high performing team.
Essential Criteria
1. Possess a minimum of a degree level qualification (Level 6) in a relevant subject e.g. construction or built environment AND Membership of a relevant Professional Body at Chartered Level e.g. RICS, CIOB, RIBA
2. Have at least 3 years’ relevant experience at senior management level within construction environment
3. Can demonstrate significant relevant experience in the following areas:
o Provenability to manage budgets, projects and programmes of work to defined and agreed targets and priorities whilst delivering excellent customer service
o Significant knowledge and experience of delivering planned investment programmes
o Delivering significant change and improvement to meet challenging objectives
o Proven ability leading a multi-disciplinary team and providing efficient management and accountability
4. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contract management, dispute resolution and its application in meeting delivery of projects and programmes
5. Can demonstrate;
o Abilityto develop strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
o Negotiating and influencing skills at a senior level
o Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information to a range of audiences
o Interpreting and analysing data and reports in order to understand and improve performance
o Strong personal resilience
o Fairness, good governance, ethical and professional practice
6. Possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full
