Middlemore have been retained by one of the world’s most outstanding names in the creative sectors, to recruit an experienced Head of People & Culture to join their close-knit HR team. This appointment will provide critical support to the board of Directors plus other areas of business including senior managers across the organisation. This role will work closely with numerous client groups where you will help to influence and advise across numerous People initiatives being integrated into the business. You will oversee all things HR across the spectrum of Talent, L&D, Reward & Benefits, Mobility etc. Other responsibilities will include:
* DNA and Culture: promote and reinforce the company’s culture with initiatives that underpin the values and vision of the firm
* Learning & Development: Working closely with the Directors to provide a holistic, proactive and succession focussed learning and development programme, ensuring continual professional development for all employees
* Active participant and member of the Operations Board
* Act as confidant and confidential advisor to the Board and Directors
* Manage HR related risks to the company
* Research, due diligence and advice relating to opening offices nationally and internationally.
* Continually seek to improve and innovate HR services to the company
* Maintain a continual overview of business people related issues and proactively address
* Provide legislation related and best practice advice and organise downsizing, disciplinary, grievance, TUPE exercises
* Ensure maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures to accurately reflect legislative requirements and company policy
* Ensure recruitment, retention, and overarching employee duty of care, e.g. monitoring overtime, absence
* Oversee the Company’s Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity strategy
* Oversee the talent mobility strategy and secondment arrangements
* Management of the visa and immigration processes and the company UKVI Sponsorship License
* Management of the Apprenticeship scheme
* Managing the company’s benefits, reward, and recognition strategy, supporting the Remuneration Committee
The successful postholder will have experience of the creative sector working in a standalone role or managing a small team. This role requires the successful candidate to have a low ego and will be passionate about managing both a strategic and operational lense. What else will you need:
