HR Officer (12-Month Contract) Antrim Area Industry: Manufacturing | Salary: £ Depending on Experience | Early finish Fridays!! Are you an HR professional with at least 2 years' experience and knowledge of NI and ROI employment law? Is your contract coming to an end, or are you ready to gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? This could be the role that elevates your HR career. Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Antrim, is seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Officer to join their team on a 12-month contract. This opportunity offers fantastic exposure to a broad range of HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement and compliance. The Role As HR Officer, youll play a central role in supporting the full HR lifecycle across the organisation. This includes delivering practical HR advice, coordinating recruitment efforts, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Youll also have the opportunity to contribute to strategic people initiatives and foster a culture of engagement, development, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Compliance Provide HR advice and support across the organisation (NI & ROI). Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Recruitment & Onboarding Create job descriptions and manage end-to-end recruitment. Liaise with agencies, review CVs, arrange interviews, and issue offers. Lead new starter inductions and maintain applicant tracking systems. Support Equal Opportunities reporting and compliance. Employee Development & Performance Coordinate probation reviews with line managers. Support training schedules and development initiatives. Employee Engagement & Relations Provide advice on employment law and HR policies. Assist with disciplinary/grievance matters and manage absenteeism. Help coordinate employee engagement activities and events. What Were Looking For Minimum 2 years experience in a generalist HR role. Knowledge of NI and ROI employment law. CIPD or working towards qualification. Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organisational skills. Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
