Contract Type: Freelance / Temporary Role, approximately 30 weeks

Our client is a successful construction principal contractor operating nationally from multiple offices. They are seeking a Senior Site Manager to oversee a fast track refurbishment project of a care home in Cardiff. Their growth has led to increased turnover, and they aim to expand further in the upcoming financial year. They are well-regarded in sectors including Office, Hotel, Prime Residential, Care Home, Commercial, and Apartments.
The company prides itself on strong client relationships, with over 70% of their workload negotiated with repeat clients.
The Senior Site Manager Role
This role is suitable for a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager seeking a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the project according to the program, adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
The site is located in Cardiff and will run for approximately 45 weeks. The project involves the refurbishment of a care home, including groundworks, drainage, structural alterations, a new roof, and lift shaft installations. The candidate will manage the project on a day-to-day basis, with support from a visiting Project Manager.
Responsibilities
* Managing the project on site
* Managing the build program
* Conducting site inductions as required
* Managing health and safety
* Collaborating with subcontractors to ensure timely project completion
* Maintaining effective communication at all levels
Ideal candidates will have experience managing construction or fast track refurbishment sites, particularly in care homes, hotels, offices, student accommodation, commercial, or PRS apartments. The role requires a self-motivated, autonomous individual capable of driving subcontractors.
Necessary certifications include SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, Asbestos Awareness, and First Aid.
The project commences on 11th November 2024. Remuneration is up to £290 per day, dependent on experience.
