How Site Managers make a difference in our schools...
Site Managers have a central role in our schools undertaking a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities ranging from the control and ordering of materials and equipment to being key holders responsible for unlocking the premises and attending alarm call outs. Site Managers also regularly complete safety inspections to ensure the maintenance of a safe school environment. Working with Schools Traded Area Managers, our Site Managers have an active role supporting and carrying out cleaning duties, whilst monitoring cleaning staff, ensuring high quality standards are maintained.
To carry out this important work we will need you to demonstrate a good working practice of modern cleaning techniques, materials and equipment, have DIY skills and be able to work with safe working practices utilising your knowledge of health and safety procedures, security systems and alarms and hazards; and because our Site Managers work with a wide range of people inside and outside the school good communication skills and the ability to handle situations sensitively is a must. Organisation is important, whether that be coordinating the work of your team, or completing routine paperwork.
You can expect to typically complete your 37 hours Monday to Thursday 6.00am - 10.00am and 2.30pm - 6.00pm and Fridays 6.00am - 9.30am and 2.30pm - 6.00pm (variable to meet the needs of the service).
Our schools rely on the flexibility of our workforce to maintain a high level of service therefore on occasion, overtime may be required to support the school, paid at the appropriate rate of pay.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake any service specific training such as manual handling, ladder training, electrical awareness etc.
