Job Purpose:
Work within the vision and values of the Highland Council, actively engaging with Managers and Staff to provide a frontline HR operational advisory service.
Support corporate communication activities by working directly with Chief Officers.
Support and guide Managers at all levels in the organisation and undertake to deliver specific Corporate HR Projects to support the Council Workforce Planning activities.

Requirements
1. A good knowledge of Highland Council policies, guidance and procedures, specifically HR and Health and Wellbeing.
2. Experience of working in an operational HR environment and an understanding of employment legislation.
3. Experience of Microsoft Office packages, including excel spreadsheets and sharepoint.
4. Have a solution focussed and proactive approach, with an ability to guide and coach managers to achieve appropriate outcomes.
5. The ability to work solo and as part of a team, whilst using initiative and taking personal responsibility for own workload and delivering to agreed deadlines.
6. Knowledge and understanding of Highland Council and their current corporate and strategic issues.
7. Member of CIPD or willingness to work towards Certificate in Practice.
