Quality Manager - Home Support (Leeds)
Salary: £42,000 | Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Contract: Full-time, permanent | Location: Leeds (Beeston) | Closing Date: 5pm on 18th May 2026
Lead a CQC‑rated outstanding service that keeps people safe, independent, and living well in their own homes. The role supports the Operations Manager and ensures the provision of person‑centred care, quality assurance, compliance and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
* Support the Operations Manager in day‑to‑day running of the service, acting as lead in their absence.
* Promote a positive, inclusive, values‑driven culture across the service.
* Lead, mentor and support staff teams to deliver safe, effective, responsive and well‑led services.
* Drive continuous improvement and embed best practice throughout the service.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
* Lead on quality assurance systems, audits and governance processes.
* Ensure full compliance with legislation, regulations and CQC standards.
* Develop and implement action plans from audits, inspections, incidents, complaints and feedback.
* Monitor performance indicators and quality metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
* Prepare for and support CQC inspections, maintaining evidence portfolios that demonstrate Outstanding practice.
Maintaining Outstanding CQC Standards
* Champion excellence in person‑centred care and outcomes.
* Gather and analyse feedback from service users, families, professionals and staff to improve delivery.
* Promote preventative and proactive approaches that reduce risk, prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, and support independence.
* Encourage innovation, continuous learning and reflective practice.
Staff Management & Development
* Support recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and retention of staff.
* Ensure all staff receive appropriate training, competency assessments and professional development.
* Promote staff wellbeing and engagement.
* Support staff to deliver strengths‑based, person‑centred care focused on meaningful outcomes.
Safeguarding & Risk Management
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are understood and followed by all staff.
* Investigate incidents, concerns and complaints, promoting a culture of openness and learning.
* Maintain robust risk assessments and preventative measures for safe, confident home living.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced, compassionate leader committed to delivering outstanding care in a values‑led environment.
* Significant experience in a home support or domiciliary care setting.
* Proven track record in quality assurance, compliance and CQC standards – ideally with an Outstanding rating.
* Strong leadership, staff management and motivational skills.
* Deep understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person‑centred care planning.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
* Commitment to promoting independence, dignity and choice.
* Level 4/5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience), or working towards it.
