Position: Pattern Developer
The Pattern Developer, under the direction of the Engineering Manager, is responsible for implementing leading-edge/world-class innovations that will be the foundation of the success of the NextGen engineering department. The candidate must have a solid background in both mold design and surfacing. This individual must communicate confidently both in writing and orally and be capable of presenting complicated concepts in a way that others will understand. Part of his/her duties will be interacting with appropriate NextGen staff to determine priorities and best practice methodology. These responsibilities will also include intense interaction with Cimatron's development and sales staff. The pattern developer will be responsible for utilizing all assets at their disposal to develop interactive/parametric models that satisfy the needs of engineering as well as all downstream departments (Manufacturing and Purchasing). A strong knowledge of programming logic as it applies to smart pattern development is also a prerequisite.

Job Duties:
1. Train new employees (How to use Cimatron & NextGen Patterns)
2. Keep up to date on New Cimatron Version releases. (Attending Cimatron events to represent NextGen)
3. Create & keep Procedure Documents up to date as procedures and policies evolve
4. Assist the team with any and ALL Cimatron questions
5. Work alongside the Engineering Manager to determine a priority list for updating and creating new patterns
6. Work alongside IT in the development of Macros
7. Hosting meetings with the Engineering Team to present new patterns and show how to implement in design. (Smart Patterns)
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
9. Ensure high standards of accuracy, workmanship, and efficiency
10. Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times
11. Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
12. Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
13. Other Responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
Knowledge of appropriate software, materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands. 5+ years Designing/Surfacing experience in the mold industry. 5+ years' experience working in Cimatron.
Work Conditions
Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade. Extended periods of sitting, standing, and other physically demanding conditions. Use of required personal protective equipment. Operation and use of necessary software, tools, machinery, or equipment.

$21.56-$34.50 per hour
