Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Spray Shop Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a workshop, spray shop, or similar hands-on industrial environment. In this role, you'll assist with surface preparation, general labouring, and support spray painters as needed. On-site training will be provided to ensure you meet our specific processes and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Prepare parts and surfaces for painting (sanding, cleaning, masking, etc.)
* Assist spray painters with day-to-day tasks
* Move, load, and position parts safely and efficiently
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spray shop and work areas
* Follow all health and safety procedures and PPE requirements
* Perform general workshop labouring duties as required
* Report any faults, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor
* Support quality control by ensuring prep work meets required standards
Experience
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a spray shop, workshop, or industrial labouring role
* Experience with surface preparation (e.g. sanding, degreasing, masking)
* Familiarity with handling and moving large or awkward parts safely
* Previous use of basic hand and power tools
* Working knowledge of health & safety procedures in an industrial environment
* Experience working as part of a team to meet production deadlines
* Exposure to paint booths or industrial coating processes (preferred)
* Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
