This is an exciting opportunity for an HR Manager to take on a vital role within the manufacturing sector. Based on-site, you will lead the HR function, ensuring the smooth implementation of HR processes and strategies.
Description
As the HR Manager you will be the first point of contact for the business, supporting the full employee life-cycle. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and strong generalist HR experience. This is a hands-on, varied role requiring a proactive, detail-oriented, and people-focused individual.
Responsibilities
* Partner with leaders across the site, providing advice, support and guidance on a range of people related matters.
* Communicate and consult on all areas of HR including compensation, benefits, recruitment, organisational development, employee relations, and performance management in alignment with processes.
* Manage ER, handling complex issues in areas such as performance management, conduct, absenteeism, disciplinary procedures, and grievances.
* Coach line leaders on HR and people related matters to improve management capability within the business.
* A strong understanding of Payroll with previous strong background in processing Time sheets via outsourced payroll service.
Profile
A successful HR Manager will:-
* Ideally be CIPD Level 5 (or above) qualified or equivalent
* Have experience of working in an autonomous HR Manager role
* Understanding of current UK employment legislation
* Experience of working within Manufacturing/FMCG
* Ideally have previous experience of working in a unionised environment
* Good stakeholder management skills
* A strong understanding of overseeing Payroll via outsourced payroll service
Job Offer
Salary c 45k - 55k (dependant on experience) + Benefits
This is a full time, permanent, site based role (near Ebbw Vale)
37 hours per week, with a 12pm finish on Fridays!
