About the Role
Join our team as a Safeguarding Manager in Stoke-on-Trent.
WithYou has an exciting opportunity in our Stoke Community Drug and Alcohol service for a Safeguarding Manager to contribute to the development of a fully integrated safeguarding culture. We’re looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker, with exceptional leadership skills and expertise within safeguarding - if this sounds like you, we’d love to hear more.

Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, the Safeguarding Manager will ensure compliance within the service, including with external regulatory bodies, and work closely with colleagues in the Operations Leadership Team. You will raise safeguarding standards to ensure client safety, effectiveness, and responsiveness, working alongside colleagues to improve outcomes. You will be the subject matter expert on safeguarding, providing support to deliver high-quality services. This is a hands-on role, making a tangible difference to our services and those who access them.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31/03/2026. The salary ranges from £34,000 to £44,290 per annum, depending on experience.
You should be a compassionate and motivated Social Worker, able to connect quickly with service users, respecting their dignity and ensuring they are at the heart of our organization. Experience in leadership within safeguarding, especially within substance misuse or complex organizations, is essential. You should be a visible and inspiring leader who fosters team cohesion. To succeed in this role, you will:
* Be a Fully Qualified Social Worker (BASW, DipSW, CQSW, CSS), registered with Social Work England
* Have experience working across complex health, social care, or criminal justice settings, and collaborating with statutory and non-statutory agencies
* Demonstrate leadership in safeguarding services
* Have experience managing drug and alcohol, mental health, or similar services
* Prove a track record of supervising registered Social Workers
* Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
